Certificates of Achievement

The recognition of achievement has always been a great personal motivator as well a way to document progress toward a goal. Even in the adult world, people proudly display the awards, citations, diplomas, etc. that recognize their success.

To that end, we have created certificates of achievement for each of the Fluency Anchors at every grade level – the Anchor Master series. Also, an Anchor Admiral certificate is included for students who meet all of the time expectations for their respective grade. The background artwork associated with these certificates may not fit the “relevance factor” for all grades. When this is the case, teachers (with student input) are encouraged to design their own certificates using the framework of the sets provided here.

To simplify the process of customizing the certificates, we have provided them as word documents which can be easily modified. When selected, the original certificates will appear as downloads on your status bar.

Additionally, for students who far eclipse the time recommendation listed, a red star can be awarded (to be attached to the certificate) to students who beat the time by 30 seconds, a silver star for 60 seconds and a gold star for 90 seconds.

If you and your students have examples of your own background artwork for these certificates (and targeted grade levels) and are willing to share your ideas, we are always interested and appreciative of that effort. Sail on!
